Winemaking: This cuvée is produced only in exceptional vintages. Grapes are harvested by hand and traditionally vinified in stainless steel tanks, followed by 18 months of ageing in French oak barrels.
Grape varieties: 95% Syrah, 5% Cinsault.
Tasting notes: Beautiful, intense purple colour.
Nose: Rich and complex, with aromas of dark fruits, blueberry and blackberry, complemented by notes of liquorice.
Palate: Full-bodied and structured, with a refined tannic backbone and generous notes of dark fruit, liquorice and tobacco. A long, lingering aromatic finish.
Food pairings: Beef fillet with truffle or mature cheeses.
Serving suggestion: Decant before serving to enjoy the wine at its best now.
Ageing potential: 15 years.
